A few months back, I went on a Facebook rampage against Donald Trump. I was defriended by a few people I thought cared more about me than whether I politically agreed with them or not. Right before one person defriended me, he commented, “I don’t understand why a normally nice person has to say such ugly things.” Or, something of that nature.
It’s weird to think I lost a friend over Donald Trump. Or, rather, I lost a friend over a difference of opinion about Donald Trump, who has been espousing hate since he started running for President. And, to my dismay, Trump is now the candidate for the GOP. REALLY? I didn’t think it was possible. I really didn’t. I honestly thought, on April 1st, that THE DONALD was going to make a public announcement and say, “April Fools!” (It’s my opinion that he actually did start the campaign as a joke, and a tax deduction, and nobody is more surprised than him that he is where he is today.)
This joke has gone horribly wrong, and is now an outrageous problem for the United States and the World. We are witnessing the war between Good versus Evil.
TRUMP ON MEXICO – “They are bringing drugs. They are bringing crime. They’re rapists,” Mr. Trump said about Mexican immigrants, adding, “some, I assume, are good people.” (These are our neighbors, Mr. Trump. They are also an entire population of hardworking people in the United States.)
TRUMP ON MUSLIMS – “Donald J. Trump is calling for a complete and total shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.” (Alienating an entire population in and out of America. This is a real indicator that he is incapable of diplomacy.)
TRUMP ON A WOMAN and his backhanded way of pretending he supports gays – “@ariannahuff is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man – he made a good decision. (Wow. Hitting a woman when she is down. Real nice!)
TRUMP ON BALTIMORE AND OBAMA – “Our great African-American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore.” (Why is it even necessary to say African-American? He is a man and the President of the United States.)
I could list over 1,000 insensitive, stupid comments that this candidate has spouted, proving that he has no ability to represent America and all the different types of individuals that make up this country. (Note added after initial blog publishing: A Presidential candidate should be smart enough to at least pretend that he cares about other humans before he gets in office.)
Don’t even think twice about it. There is good. And, there is evil.
How can we trust that he will be able to navigate negotiations and build relationships with other nations when he is systematically alienating world leaders and cultures while he is still running for the office?
His personal attacks don’t even make sense. This man has cheated on his own wives, yet deems a woman who was cheated on as being unfit for office, based on the fact that she “let” her husband get away with it. How is this even reasonable?
No, I don’t care that I was unfriended for speaking the truth about Donald Trump. We must speak the truth. We must fight evil, or it will prevail.
Thank you for reading.
